THE GREAT White Shark, the notorious man-eater which featured in ‘Jaws’ has been spotted feeding off Hook Head.

The 14-foot breaching shark was captured on camera by avid local photographer Miley Carroll who was out whale-watching on Saturday.

The shark is believed to be Lydia, a tagged shark which crossed the Atlantic Ridge last month. ‘Pings’ from the shark to an online tracking system show Lydia’s proximity to Wexford shores. Lydia was first tagged off the coast of Florida over a year ago.

She is believed to be pregnant with up to 12 pups.
