Charity cycle challenge success
THE CYCLE challenge from Bray Head to Wexford for Action Breast Cancer, was very successful and the day was enjoyed by all.
Event organiser, Edel Freeman thanks all the cyclists who participated, including those from Wexford Wheelers Cycling Club and a special thanks to Martin Gill and Pat Geoghan for his support.
The cycle challenge was in aid of the Irish Cancer Society/Action Breast Cancer and the amount raised €6,593, not too far off the original target of €7,000.
The organisers thank everybody who has made a donation, also the volunteers on the day and Alice O’Sullivan.
Others who played a big part in the success of the event were the management and staff of the Ferrycarrig Hotel, along with South East Radio, Bayfield House B & B, Crossabeg, Heatons, Hughes Signs, Tesco, Bloom & Veg Florist, Castlebridge, Apple Green Garage, Ferns, Halfords, Kenny’s Bikes, Enniscorthy and The Bike Shop Wexford.
