THE PAPAL Nuncio to Ireland will preach the opening sermon at this year’s Pilgrimage to Our Lady’s Island.

The Bishop of Ferns, Dr. Denis Brennan announced today that His Excellency, Archbishop Charles Brown, Papal Nuncio will preach before huge crowds at Our Lady’s Island on Wednesday, August 15th at 3 p.m.
Commenting on the announcement, Dr. Brennan said: “The Pilgrimage holds a special place in the tradition and mission of the diocese – and indeed the country – and the presence of the Pope’s representative to Ireland at this year’s pilgrimage emphasises its importance in the faith life of the Church.”
He said: “The opening ceremony is open to all and you are most welcome to come and share the Eucharist with us on the day.”
