A GOREY based company is making plans for a major expansion of their plant which will include €4 million worth of environmental improvements.

Custom Compost, based in the Ballyminaun Hill area hopes to secure planning permission for the expansion, which they estimate will take up to four years to complete. The news was given to neighbours recently in a meeting which was also attended by Fine Gael Sen. Michael D’Arcy and a number of Wexford County Council officials.

If the planning permission is granted and the project completed, the company estimates than approximately 300 indirect jobs will be created, and it will make the company the largest of its kind in Ireland or the UK.
