THE FUTURE of soccer in Co. Wexford is in very safe hands if the evidence witnessed recently at a local soccer camp is anything to go by.

The response to the camp organised by St. Leonard’s A.F.C. was fantastic. The event, which received sponsorship from Flood’s Centra in Ramsgrange, created a lot of interest from young underage players throughout the St. Leonards and Ballycullane areas. The event was held in Ballycullane last Wednesday and Thursday. Thankfully, in contrast to the atrocious summer weather in general, to date, the weather for the camp was absolutely fabulous, especially on Thursday. This added to the overall sense of enjoyment on the day.

The organisers thanked everyone involved in making the event a success and all of the participants were praised for their enthusiasm throughout the two-day camp.
