THE VILLAGE of Fethard-on-Sea is gearing itself up for its annual Family Festival which this year will take place on Sunday, August 19.

Beginning at 2 p.m. the event promises to have something of interest for all members of the family. A spokesperson for Hook Tourism, whose office is based in the village, said the festival will offer local people a great day out and will be ideal for all of the family regardless of age.

“There will be loads of attractions for young and old,” she said.

Fethard-on-Sea is one of the most picturesque villages in the south east and it’s also steeped in history. The close-knit community in the area is very hard working and a lot of time and effort has gone into the preparations for the family festival. It promises to be one of the most enjoyable family orientated events of the summer
