Jason Ryan has resigned as manager of the Wexford senior footballers.

The announcement was made at the September meeting of the County Board, and ends Ryan’s five-year term, which came to a deflating end in July with a Qualifer loss to Tipperary. That came 12 months after a similarily shock exit to Limerick.

Ryan did guide the county back into Division 2 of the National League, but that campaign will now be looked after by his successor, the search for whom is now underway.
