NEW ROSS Musical Society is about to stage its 45th consecutive production and it promises to be a veritable entertainment feast for rock ‘n’ roll lovers.

The show, which will be staged in St. Michael’s Theatre from Monday, February 25, to Saturday, March 2, will be a completely new show and the music will be all Elvis classics.

‘All Shook Up’ is a new musical comedy built around a number of songs made famous the iconic King of rock ‘n’ roll. However, it’s not a biographical review. The story is set in 1955, somewhere in middle America. One girls dream, and a surprise visit from a mysterious leather-jacketed, guitar-playing stranger, help a small town to discover the magic of romance and the power of rock ‘n’ roll. The soundtrack will feature some of the most legendary songs in the history of popular music including crowd pleasers such as ‘Jailhouse Rock’, ‘Heartbreak Hotel’, ‘Love Me Tender’, ‘Don’t Be Cruel’, ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’ and, of course, the title tune. In all the score will feature 24 different classics. Details regarding an information night about the show will be published in next week’s edition of the New Ross Echo.
