
The Bord Gais Energy Irish Bookshop of the Year’s deadline is looming
BOOK-LOVERS have not much longer left to vote for their favourite Wexford bookshop, as the deadline for Bord Gais Energy Bookshop of the Year is looming.
Those who wish to vote have only until this Sunday when competition lines will be closed at midnight.
Bookstation, Byrnes Enniscorthy Bookshop, Byrnes Wexford Bookshop, Selskar Bookshop and the Book Centre are the five Wexford bookshops in with a chance of being shortlisted in this year’s search.
The Bord Gais Energy Bookshop of the Year award was introduced last year to recognise and support bookshops who contribute so much to local communities and the Irish book industry. Vote now and be in with the chance to win one of two prizes of €500 of electricity from Bord Gais Energy, a €500 holiday voucher and many other prizes.
Five bookshops across five regions,Ulster,Munster, Connacht, Leinster and greaterDublin, will make the shortlist which will be announced on Thursday, 25th October. The overall winner will be revealed at the Bord Gais Energy Irish Book Awards ceremony in the RDS on 22nd November.
The winner of this prestigious award will win a prize package including €4,000 worth of electricity credit with Bord Gais Energy, a trophy and a commemorative plaque.
