A 63 years old truck driver, Daniel Murphy from Castletown, lost his life when the truck he was driving hit the crash barrier and overturned into a ditch at Scratnagh, about 2 kilometres south of Jack White’s on the N11.

Emergency services attended the scene which occurred at 3.30 pm yesterday.

Mr. Murphy was pronounced dead at the scene.

This was the second fatality on the N11 in two days.

Noelle Ringwood, (54), a native of Enniscorthy living at Bray, died in a two-car collision at Camolin on Sunday.
