Laurence Prendergast is making good progress in his efforts to recover from injury in order to lend his services to Oulart-The Ballagh for Sunday week’s Leinster Club senior hurling championship semi-final showdown against newly-crowned Kilkenny champions, Ballyhale Shamrocks.

The game is now set forWexfordParkhaving originally been pencilled in for Bellefield.

Prendergast missed Oulart’s 1-13 to 1-12 Leinster quarter-final win over Kilmacud Crokes ofDublinon Sunday week last as he was nursing ankle ligament damage sustained in the build-up to that game. But selector Brendan O’Connor confirms that the utility-defender is “coming good”. Prendergast is actually due to test the strength of the damaged ankle at training this evening (Tuesday).
