Music producer Acko and author Peter Murphy who make up the Revelator Orchestra. Their album The Sounds of John the Revelator is on sale now and will be launched in Enniscorthy on Wednesday night.
WELL-KNOWN ENNISCORTHY author Peter Murphy will launch his debut album ‘The Sounds of John the Revelator’ in the Presentation Centre, Enniscorthy tomorrow (Wednesdy) night at 7:30 p.m.
The album, which is a joint venture between Peter and his colleague and friend, music producer Acko, is the first of an expected series of albums by the duo who have chosen the Revelator Orchestra as their stage name.
The Sounds of John the Revelator features Peter reading various extracts or snippets from his book, backed by music from various different artists, including Colm Mac Con Iomaire, violinist Sheila Sullivan and Joe Kingman.
Peter and Acko will perform sections of the album at the launch tomorrow night and the author says that part of the fun is explaining to people exactly what the album is: “We’ve found ourselves doing a few pieces and then telling the audience exactly what it is. We’re really excited about performing in Enniscorthy.”
