Have you seen Luna?

A 9-MONTH-OLD dog that was saved by South East Animal Rescue has been missing for the past two weeks, and her owner has urged anyone with information to come forward.

Luna was saved by the organisation a few months ago, when she was found starving, with a heavy chain around her neck and part of the post she had been attached to dragging by her side.

She had been wandering for around three weeks, but when she was found she was sent to a new home, which unfortunately did not work out.

Chairperson for South East Animal Rescue, Jackie Polson, then decided that Luna would stay at her Tomnalossett home, along with her other five dogs.

She said: “She was stuck to me – she’d sleep on the bedroom floor and never leave my side. We would regularly bring the dogs out to the woods for a walk, and two weeks ago Luna went to run out to the car but she just kept on running for whatever reason.

“My husband tried to run after her but he couldn’t keep up with her, and then she was actually hit by a car. However, she got back up and kept running and seemed to be fine.”

The black and brown dog, who wears a red collar, was last seen by a neighbour at the Old Mill going into Enniscorthy.

Anyone with information on Luna’s whereabouts can call 086 0707919.
