THE SOUTH West Wexford Community Development Project in Ramsgrange has given its support to a national campaign aimed at highlighting domestic violence.

Members of the organisation went down to Ballyhack on Friday where a number of black and white balloons were released to mark the start of the nationwide campaign.

The iniative will last for 16 days and is a countrywide project aimed at opposing violence against women. A number of events are planned throughout the New Ross area over the next two weeks.
