Lee Chin’s commitment to the footballers this weekend contributes to a couple of changes in the Wexford senior hurling team for Sunday’s Walsh Cup tournament final against Dublin at Bellefield, Enniscorthy (2p.m.).

Chin’s absence from midfield sees Andrew Shore switch from full-back to no.9 as Tomás Waters returns from a groin injury to resume his duties at full-back. The only other personnel change is the elder Kenny brother replacing the younger, as Ciarán is back from injury to take over from Andrew at wing-back.

Although former Faythe Harriers’ player and current Ballyboden-St. Enda’s (Dublin) campaigner Stephen Nolan rejoined the Wexford camp this week after a four-year absence, quite understandably he does not feature in the match-day plans yet.

With team-captain Garrett Sinnott again named on the ‘bench, Richie Kehoe continues to wear the ‘arm-band’ for the first competitive meeting between the counties since March 2011, when Dublin came away from Wexford Park with a 3-21 to 2-15 victory in Division 1 of the National League.

Wexford (SH v Dublin) – Niall Breen, Eoin Moore, Tomás Waters, Bobby Kenny, James Tonks, Richie Kehoe (capt.), Ciarán Kenny, Eoin Doyle, Andrew Shore, Harry Kehoe, Paul Morris, PJ Nolan, Gary Moore, Michael O’Regan, Pádraig Doran.

Subs: Mark Fanning, Andrew Kenny, David Redmond, Garrett Sinnott, Eoin Quigley, Lee Chin, Shaun Murphy, Stephen Murphy, Éanna Martin.
