A LOCAL choral group has displayed its charitable nature when it presented money to two local community based organisations.

New Ross Singers handed over two cheques for €500 to the New Ross branches of Hospice Homecare and St. Vincent de Paul.

The money was raised at the singers’ Christmas Carol concert which was held in the Augustinian Church.

The presentation ceremony was held in St. Mary’s Secondary School last Monday.

Among those in attendance were Ber O’Brien, Willie Delaney and Ann Somers, from New Ross Hospice Homecare, and Mary O’Shea, from St. Vincent de Paul.
