PREPARATIONS ARE underway for the Vinegar Hill 5 Mile Road Race/Walk, which will take place this Sunday.

Open to both runners and walkers of all abilities, this much-anticipated event will commence at 12 p.m.

The AAI certified race is organised in conjunction with Slaney Olympic and all proceeds will go towards St Senan’s Primary School in Templeshannon.

To enter, it costs €15, and online entry is available on www.slaneyolympic.com. Registrations will be accepted on the day until 11 a.m in the school.

Spot prizes and goody bags will be available and refreshments will be served in the school hall when the hardworking participants return from the race.
