A LANDLORD was allegedly assaulted by two of his former tenants at an apartment in Wexford on Friday afternoon.

A Garda spokesperson said the man, (who is in his early 40s), was assaulted by two men in their mid-20s at Bride St. Lower at 1:10 p.m.

The landlord called to Wexford Garda Station and reported the incident.

“He had two broken front teeth and a laceration to his face,” the spokesperson confirmed, adding that the men had a hammer and a crow bar in their possession.

The scene of the incident was closed off and scenes of crimes investigators arrived and examined the site.

The spokesperson said two local men were questioned in relation to the attack and a file is going to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
