THE SIZZLING hot weather is drawing thousands of people to the beaches of North Wexford, but local residents at Ballymoney have voiced concerns about car parking chaos in the area.

Ballymoney beach is approached by a long narrow road with double yellow lines prohibiting cars from parking there, but the law is being broken by large numbers of motorists every day.

“For about half a mile the cars are parked on the side of the road with double yellow markings making it impossible to drive down there,” a concerned local resident told The Gorey Echo.

Concern was also expressed regarding emergency services accessing the beach.
