ENOUGH WAS enough at Wexford General Hospital last Tuesday when a number of junior doctors joined their 3,000 colleagues nationwide by walking out on strike.
Following failed negotiations with the HSE in the Labour Relations Court a group of non-consultant hospital doctors formed a picket outside the grounds of the hospital.
The union representing the group, the Irish Medical Organisation, organised the day of action against the HSE in protest at the “dangerously long hours” which these doctors are expected to work.
