The Aoife and Aine Kennedy Memorial Fund recently presented over €20,000 to Wexford General Hospital, and there is another fundraiser coming up next weekend.

A Halloween Ball has been organised for Sunday, October 27th in the Lodge Ballroom, Carnew, at 9.30 pm where there will be lots of trick or treats, fun and frolics.

All monies raised will go to Temple Street Children’s University Hospital, Dublin.

A great night is promised with a live band ‘52nd Street’ who are a fully  ‘live’ band and fast becoming one of Irelands premiere wedding and party bands.

Admission on the night is only €5 with a door prize and array of Fancy Dress Prizes up for grabs.

The Aoife and Aine Kennedy Memorial Fund was set up in November 2007 after the death of Aoife aged 5 and a half years.

Aoife was killed in a road traffic accident on Carnew Main Street on November 5th 2006.

In April 2010, tragedy struck the family again when they lost Aine after almost a 36 hour fight for survival.

Aine died on April 27th 2010 of culture negative sepsis triggered by a fibril seizure during the night which eventually led to multi organ failure and her death at Crumlin Children’s Hospital in Dublin. Aine was also 5 and a half years old.
