The Minister for Arts, Heritage and Gaeltacht, Jimmy Deenihan TD, was in Wexford Library today where he launched an anthology of poetry called ‘Dust Motes – Dancing in the Sunbeams’.

Mr. Deenihan said the 15 poets in the anthology do not represent a movement, nor do the poems set out to till the soil of Wexford, but Wexford is the common salient in their lives.

Mr. Deenihan also spoke about the importance of the Wexford Opera Festival and Wexford’s international reputation for culture and the arts.

The poets, whose work is featured in the work, includes Jim Maguire, Patrick Kehoe, Joe Neal, Helen Gaynor, Padhraig Nolan, Mary O’Brien, Sean Clarkin, Philip Quirke, Margaret Galvin, Jackie Hayden, Tom Mooney, Eleanor McEvoy, Denis Collins and Fintan Murphy.

The work is edited by Tom Mooney, editor of the Echo Group of Newspapers.
