GARDAI IN New Ross are investigating a series of burglaries that occurred near Poulfur, Co. Wexford, on St. Stephen’s Day.

Three separate holiday houses were ransacked after intruders gained entry through rear doors.

A spokesperson for the Gardai in New Ross said the houses, which are holiday homes in an area known as Hookless Village, were unoccupied at the time of the break-ins.

The Gardai received a report about the crime at around 9 p.m. and it’s believed the crimes were committed sometime earlier that day.

Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to contact New Ross Garda station on 051-421204. All information forwarded will be treated in strict confidence
