Gardaí at Gorey have arrested a man following a seizure of cannabis plants and herb with an estimated street value of €80,000.

The seizure was made after a planned search at a house in Courtown Harbour on Monday.

The man, who is in early 50’s, was arrested at the scene after a follow up search in the early hours of this morning.

He is currently detained under Section 4 Criminal Justice Act at Gorey Garda Station.
