The stormy weather conditions are having an impact over the county tonight, although the rain is lighter the winds continue to blow wildly.

Killurin Bridge over the River Slaney is closed due to flooding.

Edermine Bridge is closed due to flooding and a fallen tree.

There is a tree down across the junction of the road from Courtown to Ballymoney, just outside Courtown on the Gorey road where the old gate lodge is a well-known landmark.

New Ross and the south-west coast is again taking a battering.

There are no immediate concerns for Enniscorthy which is currently in high tide.

Gardaí are asking motorists not to undertake journeys unless it is absolutely necessary.

Ferry services operating at Rosslare Harbour have been severely disrupted due to the stormy conditions.

Irish Ferries have cancelled the 2o45 hours sailing from Rosslare to Pembroke and the 0245 hours sailing from Pembroke to Rosslare.

Tomorrow morning’s 0900 Sealink service from Rosslare to Fishguard is cancelled and 2100 hours service from Rosslare to Fishguard is in doubt.

Sealink say the situation will be reviewed tomorrow afternoon and intending passengers are advised to check before setting out on their journey.
