Team Ireland has returned from the 2014 European Eight-Ball Pool Championships in Malta.

Over half the members of the team were from Co. Wexford.

The Ireland Junior A team, featuring defending European champions, Adam Maher, Enniscorthy, and Jordan Doyle, Jordan Synnott and Evan Kavanagh, all from Gorey, were beaten into second place by England with the Ireland Junior B team, featuring Kyle Murphy and Aaron Doyle from Gorey, and Ben Doyle from Enniscorthy, in third place.

Jamie Gaffney from the Junior A team won the under 18 European Singles title, with current under 18 and under 21 Irish champion, Jordan Doyle in fourth place.

Robert Brady of Enniscorthy got into the last 16 in the Men’s A Section, while Matt O’Hara, Annagh, Gorey, also participated.

Other local players involved were Peter Lucas, Carnew, in the under 50’s and Sandra Bryan, Gorey, in the Ladies Section.
