Interest is growing in next May’s Local Elections, and with all the major parties preparing their chosen candidates to knock on doors and canvass across the community, local man, Owen Dunbar, is ready to announce his intention to enter the race under an Independent banner.
Married to Kathleen, and father of three, Owen will publicly launch his campaign in the Loch gCarman Arms, Gorey, tomorrow night, Wednesday, May 5th at 8 pm.
“A new voice for Gorey,” is Owen’s message to the electorate and he has decided to allow his name go on the ballot sheet because he believes Gorey town needs adequate representation in the new Council.
From Willow Park, Owen, who is a former Chairman of Loch Garman Against Austerity, is very well-known in his native town.
