
A LOCAL secondary school student has showcased his inherent talent for photography by taking first prize in a prestigious competition.
Jack Doherty is a 5th year student in Ramsgrange Community School and he took home the top prize in the Loretto Wexford Young Social Innovator Photography competition. Jack’s photo was chosen out of 150 entries from around the county.
His photograph was on display in Wexford County Council’s building for two weeks.
As a prize he received a framed copy of his photo along with a Nikon camera worth €200.
Another student from the school, Aaron Murphy, was runner-up in the competition and received a frame copy of his photograph as a prize.
