
JUST DAYS after celebrating the birth of his third child, Government Chief Whip Paul Kehoe was back on State duty, travelling to Lebanon and Israel as part of this year’s St. Patrick’s Day ministerial trips.
Minister Kehoe spent five nights in Lebanon where he met with the various groups of Irish troops serving in the area as well as in Israel and on the Syrian border.
Minister Kehoe explained: “Either Minister Shatter or I go out every year on St. Patrick’s Day to visit our troops.”
Minister Kehoe travelled last year to Australia on a very different trip with aims to increase economic ties to the country: “This year’s trip was very different but it went very well. It’s important to recognise the work of our peacekeeping forces.”
