ALL ROADS lead to Taghmon as the long-awaited Tops of the Town competition came to its conclusion at the weekend, with the local village triumphing over last year’s winners Wexford town.

The pairing was a repeat of last year’s final and there was very little between the two groups this year according to Eric Hayes, a production committee member of the Taghmon group.

The Taghmon group has been in the competition since it was revived approximately 15 years ago and has won it a number of times but Eric said that the real winners were the audience who were treated to two excellent shows.
