A LOCAL primary school is celebrating the success of its quiz team after it reached the national final of this year’s Credit Union Schools’ Quiz competition.

The team from Marymount National School in the Rower, Co. Kilkenny, qualified from the local heat in February and went on to finish second in the Chapter heat.

That result earned the team a place in the national final which is due to be held in the RDS, Dublin, this coming Sunday, April 6.

The team is in the competition B section which is for those under 13 years-of-age. The team will be one of 50 contesting the category.

New Ross Credit Union wishes the team the best of luck in the final.
