An attempted armed robbery occurred at the Gorey branch of the Permanent TSB Bank on the Main Street just before one o’clock this afternoon.

Two men in their 20’s have been arrested and are currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act, 1939, at Enniscorthy and Gorey Garda Stations and a search is ongoing in the area with the assistance of the Garda Air Support Unit.
