The London Wexford Association is one of the great survivors in changing times.

The ideals fostered 60 years ago are still the same; “to keep Wexford people together.”

They came together to celebrate at the Diamond Jubilee dinner-dance held in The Crown Moran Hotel, in Cricklewood, which is synonymous with the Irish community.

The bishop, public representatives and loyal supporters contributed to a memorable and historic occasion.

It was appropriate that THE WEXFORD ECHO, sold in the local shop across the street from the Crown Moran Hotel, where the gala banquet was held, was the only Wexford newspaper represented and DAN WALSH filed this report of the proceedings. Pictures were provided by Lucia Butler from The Irish World newspaper in London.

Full report covering four pages, with lots of photographs, in your favourite newspaper this week.
