A Blackwater student, Elizabeth Earle, has been crowned ‘Queen of the Wool 2014’

This was the first event of the Golden Shears competition and it took place in the ICM Sheep Shearing Dome in Gorey tonight.

Twenty young ladies from around the country participated in the competition and the atmosphere was greatly enhanced by the fact that there was a local winner.

Elizabeth Earle is from Blackwater Macra Club is currently a Phd student.

She loves music and recently graduated from UCD with a degree in Animal Science.
