Malclom Byrne will top the poll and likely be elected on the first count.

Retired Garda Joe Sullivan (Fianna Fail) and Fionntan O’Suilleabhean will also be elected in the top three.

Robbie Ireton will hold on to his Labour seat, but it looks as if Michael Kinsella will not be a member of the new Council.

Tally figures (NOT THE FINAL RESULT – TALLY’S) are as follows;

All the rest have in the region of 300 votes or less each.

It could be 5 o’clock before the first official count for the Gorey District are officially announced.
