Sybils of the Slaney, a co-operative exhibition of 12 women painters and print makers, was launched in Newtownbarry House, Gardens and Gallery, Bunclody, tonight by Cllr. Barbara Anne Murphy.

Cllr Murphy said it was her first day as a member of the new Municipal Council, it was her first assignment, and she was delighted to declare the exhibition opened.

The works featured include that of Phillippa Bayliss, Cathy Callan, Lesley Fennell, Josephine Grant, Rebecca Homfray, Maria Levinge, Clody Norton, Alice Norton, Moira Robertson, Clare Ormerod, Sara Rogers and Hanneke van Ryswyk.

The exhibition runs until August 31st.
