ENNISCORTHY WAS hopping over the weekend as the Street Rhythms Dance Fest brought the town to life.
The annual festival was yet again a great success, with a carnival atmosphere bursting through the town over the three days.

Despite an ominous weather forecast, the odd downpour did not deter the family fun and the dance, colour and noise continued with aplomb.
The festival got off to a bang on Friday with an eclectic parade, with international dancing, jazz music and a craft fair taking place on Saturday and Sunday.
A noted highlight was the return of Fairytales in the Castle, which saw over 800 people pass through Enniscorthy Castle to witness Donald and Daisy Duck’s 84th birthday bash which featured a host of Disney characters.

“It was a fabulous weekend,” beamed Bernie Morrissey, member of the organising committee. “Everyone really enjoyed it and there was a real cheerful feel in the air. Kids especially enjoyed it all – it was lots of fun.”
