The Tate Guerin Gallery at Wells House affords a rare opportunity to view monochrome prints by landscape and still life photographer, Brian McIlvenny, whose work entitled ‘Monolith’ is on exhibition there until the end of July.
This specialised work was officially opened by writer, playwright and journalist, Declan Lynch, who embraced McIlvenny’s work with a descriptive introduction that placed the exhibition in context.
The Wicklow exhibitor is a leading specialist in an alternative chemical process known as lith printing, and Brian uses this classic method to produce personally hand-made lith prints from his darkroom in the Garden County.
The exhibition continues until Thursday, July 24th.
