Four popular County Wexford beaches have failed mandatory tests for E.Coli undertaken by Wexford County Council and beach users are asked not to go swimming in these waters until the tests become positive.

The affected beaches are Cullenstown, Curracloe, Morriscastle and Old Bawn, near Cahore.

Wexford County Council is monitoring the situation following results of tests which were taken last Thursday.

Further samples were taken yesterday with the results expected on Thursday when the situation will be reviewed.
