AN ANTI-pylon march will take place in New Ross on Sunday, August 3, at 5 p.m.

The event will begin at the Tesco Car park and will follow the loop around the town on the Ring Road and is expected to take around an hour to complete.

A spokesperson for the organising committee commented on the initiative to The Echo and said: “The walk will take approximately one hour to complete [and] everyone in the New Ross district affected by the proposed pylons and high voltage power lines are asked to encourage their family, friends and neighbours to come along.”

The money raised through the event will go towards the ongoing anti-pylon campaign throughout the community and county.
