
Jockey Maxine O’Sullivan and her horse Cork Citizen in a happy mood following victory in the Open Lightweight Race at Lingstown, Co. Wexford today.
The Open Lightweight Race over the famous Lingstown banks was a thrilling spectacle this afternoon and it also produced the closest finish of the sunny afternoon at the south Wexford track.
It was a family success for the O’Sullivan family from Mallow with jockey Maxine O’Sullivan losing the lead in the final stages on Cork Citizen, but rallied strongly and got back to win by a head.
