SEVEN COMMUNITY groups and charitable organisations in County Wexford will receive €88,500 in funding from the National Lottery through the Department of Health.
Cumas, New Ross, has been designated €50,000 towards the cost of purchasing three mini buses with wheelchair facilities and two seven-seater vehicles.
Kilmuckridge Community and Family Resource Enterprise Centre Ltd has been designated €10,500 towards the cost of purchasing a van to deliver meals on wheels.
St Mary’s GAA Club, Maudlintown, Wexford, is set to receive €9,000 towards the cost of developing facilities in an area of designated disadvantage.
Ozanam House (St Vincent de Paul), Thomas Street, Wexford will receive €7,000 towards the cost of funding the conversion of an existing room into a meeting/games room.
The Irish Wheelchair Association, Wexford, will receive €7,000 to upgrade its buses.
Arthritis Ireland Wexford, Duncormick, will be allocated €3,000.
FAB Community and Family Resource Centre, Coolcotts, Wexford, is due to receive €2,000 towards the cost of funding a 20 week programme on awareness and understanding of mental health issues.
