Jimmy Fox

THERE WAS widespread shock and sadness in Clonroche and surrounding areas on Monday at the sudden death of a well-known and liked man from the local community.

Jimmy Fox from Tominearly died at his home yesterday morning (Monday). He was aged 65.

Mr. Fox was a well-known figure in Clonroche where he ran Clonroche Aluminium and Clonroche Seamless Guttering, both of which would have provided much employment in the village over the decades.

An avid follower of local GAA team Cloughbawn, Mr. Fox was also a keen golfer and a member of Enniscorthy Golf Club. He also had a passion for motorbikes and animals, as well as photography, particularly photos of his home village of Clonroche.

He is survived by his wife Katie, his daughter Julie and son Jason, his grandchildren and family and friends.

Funeral arrangements were not available at the time of going to print.

The Echo extends its sympathy to the bereaved.
