THE ICONIC Crown Bar located on Monck’s Street in Wexford town will reopen its doors in 2015.
Colm Neville owner of the Riverside Park Hotel in Enniscorthy together with his brother Anthony recently confirmed that they have purcahsed the popular hostilery, which has now been closed for over two years.
The Neville brothers have substantial plans to develop the The Crown and hope to add a substantial beer garden to the premises while seeking to preserve the venue’s charm and character.
The redvelopment project will get underway early in the new year, with a view to re-opening for the public in the summer.
Spice Restaurant will continue to trade from the first floor of the premises.
Colm Neville states that he is looking forward to working together with Spice and that there is no doubt in his mind that both businesses will benefit from each other’s business when the bar reopens.
