Browne 01 JC07

THREE WEXFORD businesses were left to pick up the pieces after a Friday night/Saturday morning burglary spree during which thousands of euro worth of damage was done.

All three incidents happened at some time between Friday night and Saturday morning. The first premises to be hit was Ye Olde Barber Shop on Commercial Quay where a door was forced open and the building ransacked.

The next target was the neighbouring business J.P. Delaney Nationwide Real Estate which was searched and a small sum of money was taken.

The final premises targeted was Richard Browne & Sons Ltd. on Mary Street where a window was forced open and the office was ransacked. Garda carried out house-to-house inquiries in the area and will also be monitoring CCTV footage from various parts of the town from that night.

It is not clear if the three incidents are linked.
