At tonight’s County Convention Cllrs Mick Roche, Oisin O’Connell, Johnny Mythen, Fionntán Ó Súilleabháin and Anthony Kelly.

Sinn Féin is the first political party in Co. Wexford to select its candidate in the next General Election which will take place at the latest next February.

Enniscorthy’s Cllr Johnny Mythen was chosen at the County Convention held in Ferns tonight.

Cllr Mythen is the popular choice amongst the party members and served as the last Chairman of Enniscorthy Town Council and was subsequently elected to the new Enniscorthy Municipal District Council last May.
