A 17-YEAR-OLD girl is hosting a Table Quiz at Wexford Golf Club on Tuesday, March 3 to raise funds for the Jubilee Sailing Trust event which she hopes to take part in.

Naomi Thorpe hopes to be part of a crew and to be a buddy assisting people with disabilities as they take on the running a tall ship.

As part of the event, Naomi must raise €1,600 for Jubilee Sailing Trust and is holding a table quiz on Tuesday next.

Naomi said: “Sailing Trust (JST) is a charity organisation which takes able-bodied and disabled people together as a voyage crew. I will be a buddy helping someone on the ship sailing from Glasgow to Belfast. I have to raise €1,600 in order to be part of the crew. Anything raised above this cost will go to the charity.”
