Four cars had their back windows smashed while their owners were playing bingo at the weekly session at Craanford last Friday evening between 7.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m.
Nothing was taken from three of the cars, but a purse was removed from one of them.
In a separate incident at the Burrow, Courtown Harbour, a handbag and a back pack was stolen from a car after it was broken into.
The incident occurred sometime between 3.30 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
Another car was damaged at the same location.
Gardaí are once again reminding people not to leave any valuables visible in parked cars in an effort to deter thefts.
Two burglaries were reported in the past week.
A residence at Avenue Court, Gorey, was entered through a backdoor and ransacked on Friday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
A small amount of property was taken.
A burglary also took place at Poulshone last Thursday at 5 p.m. Two people were arrested in connection with this incident and one will be sent for charge at next month’s sitting of Gorey District Court.
