Kilmuckridge Memorial Hall has been is accommodating full houses every night for the 63rd All-Ireland Confined Drama Finals which has brought the village to life. “We are delighted with the festival, everything is going so well,” said PRO, Angela Devereux.

The organising committee are certainly happy having overcome the preparations, and now everything is running like a well-tuned engine with the climax next Saturday night when the results will be announced.

Remaining nights are as follows;

Wednesday, April 15; D.A.D.S. Dunmore with ‘Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me’ by Frank McGuinness.

Thursday, April 16; Glenamaddy Players with ‘Stolen Child’ by Yvonne Quinn and Bairbre Ni Chaoimh.

Friday, April 17; Sillian Players with ‘The Lost Weekend’ by Padraic McIntyre.

Saturday, April 18; Phoenix Players with ‘Play On’ by Rick Abbot.

In Sean Óg’s, Kilmuckridge, a special stage has been erected to accommodate a school’s drama event sponsored by Wexford County Council, occurring during the afternoon, but attended by many who are involved in the festival, including the adjudicator, Patrick Sutton.

Wednesday, April 15; ‘Johnny Baluba, Teen Detective’ will be performed by Coláiste an Átha, Kilmuckridge. Directed by Michelle Burton.

Thursday, April 16: ‘Sleepover Secrets’ by Tony Domialle (not suitable for children under 12), performed by Coláiste Bríd, Enniscorthy, under the directorship of Kathleen Byrne.

Friday, April 17: John B. Keane’s ‘Big Maggie’, directed by Paul Walsh, will be performed by Coláiste Abbain, Adamstown.
