A young Gorey-man, with the coolness of a young man who is casually riding two miles into town, has set out on a 35,000km motorbike adventure.

Ian Horan, from Ballycale, bade farewell to friends and well-wishers and took the ferry from Rosslare Harbour to Cherbourg.

With his trusty Wexford registered Suzuki DR650, about 50kgs of luggage, and spare parts, Ian will travel through 24 countries and seven different time zones, covering 35,000kms over the next four months!
